2011 (Theatre) 

 

The body has become the centre of all powers, the object of all our expectations, even those of salvation; from control over food to the utopia of eugenics, camouflage, prosthesis, mask, extension.
The project evokes the relationship between visual intervention and body language, telling in an abstract way the incessant recourse to modification and improvement. Starting with the narration of the Raft of the Medusa by Gericault.
 

Il corpo è diventato il centro di tutti i poteri, l’oggetto di tutte le nostre aspettative, perfino quelle di salvezza; dal controllo sul cibo all’utopia dell’eugenetica, il camuffamento, la protesi, la maschera, l’estensione. 

Il progetto evoca il rapporto tra intervento visivo e linguaggio corporeo, raccontando in maniera astratta l’incessante ricorso alla modifica e al miglioramento. A partire dalla rappresentazione della Zattera della Medusa fi Gericault.
